Coffman Family Sawmill - c1925
Coffman family photo taken in front of the sawmill owned by Lovell Coffman. Lovell was the uncle of  Jim Reuben Coffman. This picture was taken about 1925. Lovell is the one in front with the black pants. Unfortunately, I do not know the names of the others in this picture. If you can help identify anyone please let me know.

Lovell Coffman b: 1800 in Alabama d: 1884 in Texas. He married Catherine Howard on 11-14-1820 In AL.

Lovell was the first son of Jacob Maryon Coffman. He moved to Red River County, Texas and was given a land grant from the Republic of Texas in 1840.

He was killed by indian bandits while waiting for cargo from a river boat on Caddo Lake. His wife was also killed.
